Ehlect terms of service

Agreement and contact

By creating an account or using an Ehlect campaign workspace, you agree to these terms. Questions can be sent to hello@ehlect.ca.

The service

Ehlect provides private, campaign-specific operations software for authorized Canadian campaign users. Current tools include contacts and supporters, segmentation, canvassing, manual phonebanking, volunteers, events and shifts, assignments, tasks, scripts and surveys, public intake, lawn-sign requests, privacy operations, and reporting.

An active campaign gets an included editable one-page site at its Ehlect subdomain. Published content uses the existing reviewed campaign contact and lawn-sign forms when those modules are enabled. The private operations workspace remains separate from the public site.

Campaign donations and finance reporting, mass SMS campaigning, and AI targeting are not included in the current service.

Accounts and campaign authority

You must provide accurate account and campaign information, protect your credentials and authenticator, and use only an account you are authorized to control. Campaign owners and administrators may invite other members and assign fixed roles within their campaign.

You may use Ehlect only for a campaign you are authorized to operate. You are responsible for the lawfulness, accuracy, permissions, consent, scripts, public copy, and instructions connected to the campaign information you enter or direct Ehlect to process.

Do not attempt to access another campaign, bypass access controls, upload malicious content, interfere with the service, or use Ehlect for unlawful activity.

Subscription and billing

The Founding Campaign subscription includes a 7-day free trial. Payment details are required at Checkout. After the trial, the subscription renews monthly at $50 CAD plus applicable taxes unless canceled through Stripe.

Email credits do not expire while the campaign account remains active. They are non-refundable and expire when the account closes, except where a refund is required by law.

An eligible campaign owner can manage billing and cancel through the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. This page does not make a separate refund promise; contact hello@ehlect.ca with a billing question.

Workspace access depends on the subscription status confirmed by Stripe. Ehlect may suspend access when a subscription is not active or when the campaign is suspended for an identified operational or security reason.

Campaign information

The campaign controls the campaign records it supplies to its workspace. Ehlect processes those records to provide the service, enforce access, deliver requested transactional messages, handle public submissions, maintain audit activity, and support privacy and retention operations.

Do not add private campaign information to public website content, public issue trackers, screenshots, or other public material.

Availability and changes

Ehlect may update the service to maintain security, correct defects, or improve current campaign operations. Some campaign modules require campaign configuration or reviewed prerequisites before they can be used.

No campaign outcome, uninterrupted availability, universal legal compliance, or suitability for every election is promised. Campaigns remain responsible for confirming the rules that apply to their own election and activities.

Ending use

You may stop using the service and cancel the subscription through the billing portal. Ehlect may restrict or end access for non-payment, misuse, a security risk, or activity outside these terms. Campaign information remains subject to the applicable campaign lifecycle, privacy, retention, and legal obligations.
